Best crow research story is when researchers wearing nixon masks attacked and annoyed certain crows. The interesting thing is over time crows not part of the experiment reacted angrily to the nixon mask, showing crows have some form of communication.

My house is surrounded by huge pastures and after they cut the grass there are mice and whatever everywhere, so for days after there are hawks just circling around and gorging. You can get pretty close and they'll still come down, it's neat but kind of
