Have you ever watched the documentary Mystic Iran? I used it for a few years when I was teaching a Mythology/Religion class and my students (high school) really enjoyed it. Even now I like to put it on because of the great soundtrack and the narrator's voice (Aryana Farshad). She weaves in a lot of Rumi and it's beautiful. One of my favorites: “If you could get rid of yourself just once, The secret of secrets would open to you. The face of the unknown, Hidden beyond the universe Would appear on the Mirror of your perception.” A few of my Muslim students wanted to make it clear to everyone that what was in the film was not true Islam, and that always sparked up a new conversation.
