Was it socialist vacation days dooming us to a disabled AI Finland stream on Wednesday? Just as the UK & Germany one was about to be more than "I completed researching X. I am now researching Y.".

the WWW German player seems to enjoy throwing soldiers into the Maginot Line for inexplicable reasons.

Then they have captain twitch chat in their ear every 30 seconds "hey we have a question from chat about how nukes work. Can you neglect your front and explain to them, even though this is 1940 and there is nothing you can do besides say 'the research path starts on this screen' ".

I'm really confused with diplomatic choices being in the HOI4 focus trees. They appear to conflict with the standard diplomacy buttons. They seem like dead branches which smart players will never pick over some of the other ones that give material things like '5 free factories', etc. If Germany brings Italy into the Axis in 1936 through the standard 'Invite To Faction' button instead of using the German focus for it, is there any point to taking it later? If China is in already in the Allies, does the German focus of 'Befriend China' do anything? If China is in already in the Axis, does the Japanese focus of 'Sever Sino-German ties' do anything? How do any of these diplomatic foci work in multiplayer? If the German player triggers the Molotov-Ribb Pact focus, can the Soviet player refuse?

Pinterest Mom posted:The Victoria II crisis system: the single best Paradox mechanic or system??? It had two flaws: - The status-quo result when the aggressor had great powers backing it, but no great power stepped up for the defender. - Not being able to bribe great powers to your side by promising them your own stuff. Ex: Plombières Agreement

Am I irrational to fear that Rome's design won't be sufficiently Wizified? Manually promoting pops c'mon son. What exactly Citizens and Freemen represent will be another collectivism debate.

Release a game that spans 1820-1821. Then release a different game that spans 1821-1822 with different core mechanics. Repeat this 100 times. Absolutely no save file converters. Unique names and a dozen DLC for each.
