Love too experience the incredible jank that stems from any Modern Day Mods in various Paradox games, and seeing modders try to kludge the space race into Vicky 2 or nukes into EU4

Did anyone ever figure out a way to give rebels some level of tech advancements so they don't get totally massacred after about 1860? I kind of feel like I once played a mod that did that but

The least evil country is to start as an Irish count in CK2 and just stay in Ireland into Stellaris when you transition into a FALGSC star polity that welcomes all, treats all equally, and fights only to protect the weak.

Kenzie posted:Better to just run with it, go full evil, play the CSA and see how far you can expand slavery in the western hemisphere. Expand into Latin America like they wanted to do IRL Yeah I did a full Golden Circle run once and it was a lot of fun. Evil as gently caress, and fun. I can play strategy games involving the deaths of thousands to billions (World Cracker ) without trouble but trying to pick the mean dialog in an RPG is more than I can bear, lol Those rivers are some twisty-rear end works of art ExtraNoise!

I like Paradox games and I think the devs are cool people. I also think it's pretty understandable that the forum Wiz came up in and where many people have been interacting with him for *checks his regdate* fourteen years is particularly fond of Wiz. e; Plus he's making Victoria's Secret so e2; Also the Stellaris thread is currently staging a revolt over how pops will grow in Le Guin Ms Adequate fucked around with this message at 21:52 on Aug 26, 2018 |

GO gently caress YOURSELF posted:Will there be an option in the new Rome game to lock my Senatorial enemies in the Senate chambers, then have hired thugs throw stones at them through holes in the roof? Can I publish proscription lists? How much murder is there in this game? I swear if I can't throw a fool down the Gemonian Stairs...

The downside to the Paradox model has always been that a sequel starts out comparatively barebones. Hopefully seeing as CK3 has been in the pipeline for some time it'll be somewhere between CK2 release and CK2 today, rather than dropping all the way back. Paradox pay your people properly, treat them right, and for gently caress's sake handle allegations of sexual misconduct properly. Also give us Vicky 3 already, god in heaven.

It's possible the aeolipile could have become something more, but it would have taken the vision of an end result to do that, and absent that inspiration it was going to remain a neat thing to show off at parties or something. Rome had plenty of time from when it was described, with enormous prosperity and stability in much of the empire, in which to have worked on it.

AnoHito posted:This would make the natives unplayable, though. Unless you want to just get an event ~50 years in that just game overs your country because of a plague you had literally no control over. Not every country has to be hit the same. Randomly have some be hit badly, but come through intact, some be knocked down really hard to 1pm levels, and some vanishing entirely. Then just lock the "Fully wiped out" possibility so it's only the AI who can get it.

Eh just interpret it as your Dynasty has developed powerful knowledge like... taking regular walks and having a varied diet helps you live longer. Or something. Realtalk tho, I hope that they have the options like CK2 added a few years back, so people can turn those off if they prefer. I'm fine with that kind of stuff myself but the more flexibility for everyone to play as they enjoy, the better! Also hoping that the paths can be tied to culture or race or what have you, to allow for modding prospects with the fantasy mods.
