He has his volleyball training center thing, so it's not like he got too old to do the job? I wish we had some context after 3 seasons for why he left. I think it was implied that he was sick or something? He was planning to rejoin the team at the start of the series to try and get them back up, but collapsed so that was the end of that, and at this point, there's not much reason to disrupt the team.
