I learned about this thread due to Cryophage posting this on Tumblr and being confused when it wasn't in the general webcomics thread. I love this animation of one of my favorite scenes in the comic so far. Coincidentally, two days ago I *finally* sat down and read KSBD and cannot believe I have been missing out on such an amazing thing for so long now. It is amazing how dense both the art and the mythology are, and while the art is pretty great from the start it just keeps getting better -- the pages from the latest chapter, in particular seem to have kicked it up another notch. Allison now that she's found some backbone and/or decided she doesn't give a drat and is going to do things her way, is more fun, and I'm enjoying her interactions with Cio a bunch. My laziness actually worked in my favor. I love Cio's mode of speech. Words like "yawnsome" just make me grin. Also her disdain for the mundane details of Allison's story:  I do wish the font in the text bubbles were just a bit larger (the barely pixel-wide stems kinda break up a it). This is a comic that I would happily pay for a higher resolution edition of, because of all the insane detail (one of the best benefits of the Unsounded patreon).

The confused and horrified "W-wait! Where am I? What did I drink?" from our newly-minted blue devil is fantastic. It does seem quite a burdensome name. I do hope we get to see Allison returning the paper doll to Cio, unused, and a reaction to that.

I'm mildly disappointed if she didn't intentionally not eat the paper doll (I'm much more a fan of Allison taking control of her life, even if it's by making completely rash and uninformed decisions), though I suppose, having just drunk as much devil liquor as she did, she could be fuzzy on the events leading up to this and merely forgot that she chose not to eat it. I feel like the story works better (for me at least) if she did not cheat, but her motivation was pride or general stubbornness rather than honor.

The wavy lines read as her shaking which makes plenty of sense in context. If the scissors were open a bit in the second to last panel the action would be a little clearer, but it certainly did not seem mysterious or magical to me.
