I've never been told this, so all of my reasoning is purely speculative, but I think my mom had an abortion at some point, probably before I was born.

My parents were in their early 30s when they had me and my mom absolutely shuts down and becomes incredibly stressed whenever the topic of abortion comes up. Once, when I was very little, I read an anti-abortion bumper sticker in a parking lot aloud, having no idea what it actually meant, and my mom got really upset. That night, my dad told me to never talk to her about abortion ever again. Other incidents like this popped up throughout my childhood and adolescence. Despite my mom never actually coming out and condemning abortion despite being a Southern Baptist, it's a subject she clearly doesn't want to talk about for personal reasons.

It wouldn't devastate me or anything if it turned out that I'm right (I'm 99% certain that I am), but I've assumed that to be the family secret since I started putting the pieces together about 15 years ago.

have you ever considered that maybe she didn't abort you because of her beliefs and that is what causes her and your dad pain?

That's the part of my theory I didn't mention, but yes.

Dad's in the Aryan Nations, his dad got busted for running a gambling ring out of a bakery in Virginia. He used to buy my 12 year old biodad prostitutes and had him running numbers. He also molested my older sister and likely his own children.

Biodad (Nazi) fired at me with a rifle when I was a child, and my mother was raised in the cannabis/coke industry in the late 70's-80's. When grandpa (her dad) left the coast guard he got into drug trafficking and used to hold a bbq i'd go to with all his old biker buddies.

My maternal grandmother killed herself because of FLDS related abuse.

My mother got hep c from sharing a cocaine needle with my stepfather. I never knew that they did cocaine as a kid despite them not hesitating to roll large joints in front of us. My stepfather divorced my mother while she was on the Hep C treatments to run off with his mistress to Nevada.

I have a hosed up family. Need I go on?

I think you win the topic, dude.

There have been a lot of stories posted here about goons' family members being secret Nazis or committing wartime atrocities. It's a little bit unsettling, but I have to admit that this topic is bringing history to life in a way more vivid and interesting way than my history classes ever did. When it's all in a textbook, it's really hard to grasp that all of these participants were just regular people in extraordinary times.

I guess what I'm saying is voted 5.
