Dexo posted:Jesus christ, Felicity dying would not be a fridge. As Felicity has had a purpose in the series story that wasn't just "going to die" But if her death is only to advance the plot of Green Arrow against whoever killed her than it would be fridging. The first female Robin was a fleshed out character but her death is still considered a fridging because it was only done to motivate Batman.

I know the "hey it's a comic book show" cop-out can get a bit carried away, but I've seen worse. In the comics, her character uses a modified bolt gun, so this was a just a simplification of that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demolition_Team Rosie the Riveter... get it? Mr Beens posted:Anyway, the action scenes were cool this week, then I remembered that someone mentioned last week that it was the stunt guy directing again. Standouts for me were the long uncut shot of the Lances escaping the first building, and Thea and Laurel fighting one of the demolition team up high past an opening and you see Diggle fighting with the sledgehammer guy in the background down below. Ya I loved the practical effects, I definitely noticed the stunt guy directing as there were lots of random fights and lots of running with explosions. I even noticed that the "group fights all the ninjas/soldiers at once in a melee brawl" was even more on point this episode with the characters doing some really good moves and less dancing in circles. Is there a gif of Diggles flying kick yet?

Mr Beens posted:The cheque was discovered by a researcher on his team looking for stuff that the other side could find and use against Ollie, which was in the assumedly public records of Queen Industries (otherwise why did it get flagged as a potential skeleton that could come out) - Thea connected the dots by looking up her name and finding out she went to college with Ollie and has a kid of the right age, all public info. Which is strange because how is a check that was never cashed in the public record? Neon Knight posted:I just remembered, did Diggle use some fucken Magneto powers to repel a sledgehammer last night? Like, was he wearing a franklin badge or anti-sledgehammer spray or something? Yep, surprising but cool. Pushed a little badge on his jacket and it repelled the hammer. (of course no other metal including a giant loving helmet right there next to it did anything.)

Rhyno posted:Wouldn't the building and everything in it still be hers? Depends on how the corporation is setup really. Palmer could have had a controlling stock in the company but still less than <50% so technically the rest of the shareholders together would own more of the building and things. But in any case you can't just walk into a national corporation, even one you own, and start taking everything. That's called embezzlement. Felicity has been using the company as her superhero credit card so I'm sure they could find some excuse to remove her from the building. After all, she was just going to straight up steal a prototype cpu from her company and give it to her escaped-felon father when they escorted her out. Just ask George Bluth.

Nah, pretty sure when push comes to shove he was only looking out for #1. Barrowman you stupid as gently caress. [/quote] Yep even his "love" for Thea is from his not wanting to feel bad about her death like he did her mother. He's protecting himself, and when Thea steps out of line or does something that makes him feel less guilt for her, he ditches/drugs/manipulates until she comes around

Guess who isn't completely forgotten about and left in a pile of garbage? http://screenrant.com/arrow-season-5-roy-harper/ The show is reportedly “getting back to its roots,” focusing on Team Arrow in a grittier, more grounded reality that calls back to the first season. haha, right, sure, this time, no doubt!
