I finished Fix-r-upper this morning and can confirm that the specialisation weapons are cool+good. They're actually really not that bad to get, either, with the caveat that you need to have high level HoT masteries to finish them. A couple of loops through the full meta events for each of the new zones should get you basically all of the stuff (including the currencies) you need to buy all of the things so it'd take a couple days (if you're around on a weekend) to a week of casual play to get an Ascended weapon that looks neat.

It's only really grindy if you want to get all 9 of them and honestly I think that's probably okay.

The vendor at the end of Dragon's Stand sells the class Inscription for 50 crystalline ore and the plated weapon which is 150 of each of the map currencies+3 reclaimed plates (I think it's 2 plates for a one handed weapon). You also need some stuff from the various mastery vendors (250 a part) for the rest of the machined weapon and another thing from the Itzel vendor worth 300 airship parts.

Full breakdown for the currency required from the wiki (for Fix-r-Upper in my case, one handed weapons might cost less):
700 Airship Parts + 400 Lumps of Aurillium + 400 Ley Line Crystals + 3 Reclaimed Metal Plates + 50 Crystalline Ore

I'm having trouble following the actual point you're trying to make since as orcane said last page you seem to be saying 'suck it up because it used to be worse' and yeah, it did, but it also used to be better which is why people are annoyed and even brought it up.

This is mainly for Bird but you remember the neat looking medium armour renders we saw a while back that had a plain and a detailed version? That's the medium armour from the WvW reward track.

e: now that I'm actually at a computer, the plain version is [&CkUaAAA=][&Ck0aAAA=][&Ch0aAAA=][&ChwaAAA=][&CiIaAAA=][&CiAaAAA=] and the detailed version is [&CicaAAA=][&CiYaAAA=][&CikaAAA=][&CiUaAAA=][&Ch8aAAA=][&CisaAAA=]. There'll be a bunch of tiny patches for the next two weeks fixing the random showstopping bugs introduced in the changes. There's a bug with the new legendary item collections that stop you from being able to finish it if you do two of the collections in the wrong order and that's fairly high profile so I'd think stuff like that would be the priority to fix.

Incidentally I'm actually going to be around tomorrow (Monday evening US time/Tuesday morning Oceanic time) and can definitely lead a hero point train sometime around reset (once I figure out what time that is because daylight savings finishing here has screwed me up with times) for people that need it.

I'll try and work out times and let people know in advance when I'm going to run it.

Does anyone know how fast legendaries sell on the TP? I got a scepter precursor drop during the HP train yesterday and was thinking of crafting up the Meteorlogicus and selling it since I have a lot of the mats on hand already and it would get me like 3x more gold from a buy order than just selling the precursor. I was curious though how fast it would move if I put it up as a sell order since I could get even more gold doing that, but there's no point if they don't sell and it just sits there on the TP forever.

My Sharkspear sold within 4 hours of me listing it about 9 months ago. I assume it hasn't changed that much since then.

Trying to find actual pants for human/norn/syvari ladies who wear light armour is infuriating.

I like the Human racial T1 and the Ascalonian Catacombs pants, personally. Both are leggings, human T1 has the bottom of a leather coat around them and AC has a sort of miniskirt. Light guild armour might also work but I'm phoneposting and can't remember what it looks like.

Aetherblade gloves, I think. Be warned, they take dye really weirdly and I think I had to use some of the expensive dyes that change saturation to get them matching the rest. And yes, elementalist

Ascalonian Performer from AC tokens. They're actual pants for the blokes (albeit sprayed on leather stripper pants) and the skirt/leggings combo you see there for the sheilas.

The foefire shoulders look stupid with everything I previewed them alongside so I didn't bother with them but the handwraps aren't bad at all. They've got 4 dye channels (metal bits, the main wrapped cloth, the wristband and the runes themselves), the glowing runes pulse, the dangling bits have cloth physics and they add rings to both hands for added bling factor:

Do those channels actually change the color, though? Or is it like luminescent where it's still blue, but a different shade of blue?

A new white dye? What is it called?

They actually change the colour, those were gold before I dyed them blue to match the highlights on my character's skirt.

I'll take a better picture with them dyed bright clashing colours so you can see the dye channels when I get home from work.
