zen death robot posted:There was some kind of network problem that kept traffic from getting to a few critical VMs on an ESX host. It doesn't make any sense at all why rebooting the host cleared it up or why those systems mattered that much but I'll have to do some actual root-cause analysis this weekend to try not to let that happen again. I just help do some backend poo poo if the need arises because I'm bored at work often enough to volunteer my time and I'd rather not see this place die because no one knew how to mark a drive as a hot spare when the provider swaps out a dead disk.
