generally speaking modern ideologies recognize property rights as a useful legal fiction subject to certain limits: for one example of these limits, all shipowners have had a legal right to dock in any dock they can make when compelled by a storm for centuries regardless of if the dockowner has agreed

libertarians are morons who elevate property rights to a religious dogma and maintain them even when obviously useless and counterproductive

we all know that libertarians are lunatics about property rights and are borderline mentally ill, it's not that nobody understands they're useful

also it is hilarious your entire post is "we have the exclusive connection to reality, really" while demonstrating you have no awareness of (a) what libertarians actually say and believe and (b) what you yourself have posted in the past

Mods I humbly ask that you wait until he scurries off like the coward he is before banning Jrod this time.

i think thats what always happens, he posts and gets chaos-dunked on and slinks out, then gets banned a week later for not replying, then when he comes back acts like he totally was about to post the convincing rebuttal a week later before his ban

* Employers generally do not set wages based on what people are worth, but what they can get away with paying to get competent people. In fact they're willing to let their business be less efficient in order to have lower wages. The free market fails people who it deems to have less "valuable" skills, even if they are in fact highly profitable for their employers.

That is, to a libertarian, what the people are worth. Worth is defined by the market, not productivity.

But let me ask this. Why is it that leftists seem to confine their redistributive goals to within the borders of existing States? Why shouldn't all the richer countries be forced to give up any of their "excess" wealth and transfer it to poorer countries until everyone on the planet is materially equal? If we speak about the abuse of the 1%, WE are the global 1% and are just as fabulously wealthy to a poor person living in North Korea or some African nation rune by an authoritarian regime than a Wall Street banker seems to us.

There is no logical reason why your line of thinking ought not to lead to a world government that redistributes money across the globe, which would naturally mean a massive transfer from the West to Eastern nations and a drastic reduction in our standard of living in the United States and Canada, and much of Europe for that matter.

But most socialists done take their views to the logical conclusion. Why is that?

leftists do support foreign aid you idiot
