Season 2 is sort of a prequel, set in the '70s and somewhat connected to the first season but probably not by too much. Fargo season 2 is a 10 episode original TV adaptation of the 1996 Oscar-winning movie Fargo (Joel & Ethan Coen) and follow up to the first season by FX (Justified, Archer, The Americans) written by Noah Hawley (Bones) and produced by the Coen Brothers. It is a period dark comedy/drama set in Minnesota and South Dakota with an all new cast and story. The only shows that even came close to it were True Detective Season 1 and Hannibal Season 2. It was seriously outstanding and well worth a binge this weekend.

I can't wait. Somehow I never had much exposure to Billy Bob Thornton before watching season 1 and his presence on the show was just fantastic. This is going to be awesome. Every show should have Ted Danson.

I totally forgot this was happening until I woke up in the middle of the night with premonitions of Season 2 of Fargo. I was so excited. And that was before I found out Ted Danson and Nick Offerman are in it. Holy poo poo I can't wait.

Looking forward to seeing how this plays out. Last year was great. Two questions: 1) What the hell just happened? 2) Why are they still harping on this "THIS IS A TRUE STORY. THE NAMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED OUT OF RESPECT FOR THOSE INVOLVED" bullshit? Isn't that something included for dramatic effect?
