The closing credits song was a version of the Siren's song from O Brother, Where Art Thou. Also this was loving amazing.

"Hmm, I'm waiting for the PS Store to update with the final episode of Life is Strange. Maybe I'll catch up on the second episode of Fargo as a light appetizer to pass the time," said no one smart, ever. Jesus that got me jacked up. The final sequence with Ed and Lou at the butcher shop was super tense, and the loving War of the Worlds needledrop at the end was haunting. I mean, I know that doesn't leave much to discuss, but goddamn, I'm gonna need a minute.

buddhanc posted:That was some loving incredible television. I'm not well versed on the behind the scenes action for fargo, is there going to be a third season? I haven't been keeping up with the numbers, but the attitude towards Fargo, from both Noah Hawley and FX, is "You do not do Fargo just to do Fargo." If FX wants another one, Hawley will deliver it when he's good and ready, not because they need something for next year.

Jake Armitage posted:I have a strong feeling that Simone isn't dead. Not just because we never saw the deed or heard a gunshot, but because I think that scene was straight out of Miller's Crossing. I admit though its been 25 years since I saw Miller's Crossing so I could have the details all wrong. Well, the story of Miller's Crossing is that John Tutorro pleads for Gabriel Byrne not to shoot him, he doesn't, but then Tutorro, genius he is, comes back to try and blackmail Byrne. So if they're taking that part of Miller's Crossing, it's a little late in the game (but certainly not impossible).

Looks like the next Fargo season won't drop until Spring 2017, per Noah Hawley via Daniel Fienberg.
