Also the Dodgers insurance company purchased the $3.4m lien from his insurance company for $1.8m and deducted the $3.4m from the money they sent him for the settlement which nets them $1.6m

Maybe if he spent his insurance money on lobbyists instead of selfishly on his own care, this wouldn't be an issue?
