Baby even when I'm dead and gone
You will always be my only one, my only one
When the night is calling
No matter who I become
You will always be my only one, my only one, my only one
When the night is calling

I've been looking forward to this since I first heard about it on Idle Thumbs (joint favorite podcast along with 3MA by the way, y'all are cool & good) so it's great to see a release date. Definitely going to pick it up unless the reviews are terrible, which I'd say would be tremendously surprising.

I didn't know the game was about denying the realities of half A presses, but I am more eager than ever now that I can learn about parallel universes.

In my mind, Firewatch is the culmination of things expressed on the Idle Thumbs podcast.

I'm eager to see how, if at all, it reflects your discussions about Pikmin, Far Cry 2, grenades, hills and games without combat mechanics. I know for a fact it'll have at least one of those things and none of another.

I'm now imagining the game building up tension over the course of say two hours of exploring, including a desperate escape from a hungry wolf or something, only to run across three dozen Pikmin who do your bidding, collecting Duracells for your walkie-talkie or something.
