Actually there are two teams trying to buy the licence: http://darkfallnewdawn.com/ http://riseofagon.com/ But the CEO of Aventurine Zad Mehdawi is a major rear end in a top hat and I don't think it will work out. Oh and since there is no alternative, I would totally buy the game. In the meantime I will play this neat Unreal Tournament Pre-Alpha.

there were some dupe bugs which have apparently never been fixed. But players flying around and stuff was more an Unholy Wars thing. Imo the main problem were the exploiters who had a very high skill/stat advantage early in the game.

sorry for reanimating this thread, but the whole df revival thingy is absolutely hilarious at the moment. DF: ROA had an alpha server running but was forced to take it down because they forgot server security. Ub3rgames is much more professional than Aventurine ever was. If they can really implement all those promised features (e.g. local banking, fewer grind skills, no need of autohotkey) and maybe improve the graphics a little bit I'm so gonna play it. But when I hear about the first guilds duping I'm probably going to leave sooner or later.
