My friends and I typically throw parties/cookouts for games or go out to a bar together. :confused:

I grew up in Michigan and this is the truth. MSU fans tended to be MSU grads or at least one-time students of MSU.

In other sports-related news, the Rugby World Cup is currently underway in the UK. England went out almost immediately, followed by Wales and Ireland, leaving Scotland as the only home team in the running.
They lost against Australia.

Now, I don't profess to understand exactly what happened, but what appears to have transpired is that the referee (whose name is plastered all over Yik Yak with condescending jokes yet I can't remember) gave a last-minute penalty to Australia that he shouldn't have, which allowed them to win. As an English person in Scotland, who has been relentlessly mocked for the last... week or so, over a game I don't give a poo poo about, seeing the misery of the Scots is like loving ambrosia.

Frankly, I'm a big fat nerd who is most of the time either in front of the pc or the tv. I even like a lot of sports like Baseball or Basketball. Just Football I never got the appeal of. It's the most boring sport out there (even friggin Golf is more interesting to watch) and I've not seen a single more inconsequential thing (let alone a game) that made people more unreasonably upset than football does (Reasonable_Football_fan.avi). I suppose the Schadenfreude is on me for getting so fed up with it that I resorted to those stupid overplayed troll-words.

In semi-related 'freude, it's hilarious to me just how much hateful bile-churning vitriol State fans have for U of M year round where like it almost seems like they enjoy hating U of M more than loving State. This is funny because besides the days they actually play each other, the average U of M fan's opinion of State is either indifference or "Well at least they're still Michigan" if they're winning. Who U of M hates truly is Ohio State University. Nothing pisses off a State fan more than when you point this out to them.

For a schadenfreude anecdote; we saw them for a field trip in grade four or five and one of my classmates had to be escorted out because she had a freakout due to an intense phobia of clowns she didn't disclose to anyone beforehand. I found it far more entertaining than the show its self.

Consequently, we managed to get an actual Chinese acrobat company to come to the States to do a show. I'm not going to lie, they pulled off some pretty amazing stunts, but at the same time, I've never seen so many little Asian people eat so much poo poo :stonkhat:
