The Washington Post Express decided to use the Women's March on Washington as their cover story today. Except the cover artist made a minor error: https://twitter.com/WaPoExpress/status/817010323978907648

I'm now informed that this was their second correction; they had to redact the first because of another misspelling. Today is not going well for WaPo Express.

With the WaPo repeatedly owning themselves about "fake news" and the inherent trustworthiness and rigor of traditional media, this is not a good time in general to be their whole organization.

I swear I could watch a documentary on the planning and execution and aftermath of this. How would it go right? Why? WTF are those things that you draped over a pool? Is that some sort of pool protection system I've never seen.

They are commonly put over abandoned or foreclosed houses pools so pets or kids don't fall in and die. Something tells me they don't own the house they're partying at.

Chichevache posted:No Prisoners! is a fantastic motorcycle crash compilation that updates semiannually. Now that 2016 is over they have posted part 2. Over in SA's motorcycle forum, Cycle Asylum, we watch it to laugh at idiots and stay sharp on all the stupid mistakes other riders make. It can be very informative and I would recommend it to all riders or people who plan on becoming one. It is also packed with Schadenfreude. Any highlights?

There's a good mix of car error and cycle error in a lot of these, and some definitely seem like someone either died, or was massively injured, so beware. I can't find it anymore, but there was a bad one where a little moped or scooter gets in an accident and you see it was a dad, mom, and two little kids where the mom looks to be holding onto a baby, which is hosed up in all sorts of ways.

Yesterday I was faced with a difficult choice. I saw someone getting into her car leaving Dutch Bros coffee, with her big tall drink on the roof of her car. Do the nice person thing and run over and alert her or watch and wait for the scoodyfroody? (I ended up stopping her and didn't get to watch the drink fall)

I had something similar - watching someone putting their coffee on the roof, then watching the wind push it ever so slightly so it fell in through the open sunroof. I did nothing to assist because A) I was a storey up and the windows don't open and B) gently caress you Adam, you deserved it you wanker.
