The best Russian dash-cam is the guy witnessing the massive meteor that shattered windows miles away with the impact. It absolutely lights up the sky in a ball of fire and he just puts down his sun visor with zero fucks to be had. I don't think it's just the prevalence of dash cams that provides all the crazy videos. It's just the same poo poo different day.

That actually is a blind dog, for what it's worth :v:.

Depth. The Lincoln tunnel goes to 97 feet deep, plenty of room for a cruise ship to pass over it without damaging the tunnel. In those renders that tunnel looks at most 15-20 feet deep. Royal Caribbean's biggest cruise ship is 30 feet deep below the water line. Considering the render show a loving cruise ship lane crossing the tunnel, that's kind of a big deal.

Aren't most "underwater" tunnels just dug through the river/seabed in the first place? It's not like theres an actual structure lying down at the bottom.

China has a great road safety track record. I see nothing wrong with an elevated tram that cars can drive under and/or trucks can slam into, that requires special intersections for it to take its wide-rear end turns while the rest of the traffic crosses.

They're alot less metal now.

Well they don't have fangs to inject venom per se, they kind of just.. chew it in. Which is still pretty metal.

Based on a thorough analysis of the dragon’s skull, Fry thinks that they kill with a grip, rip and drip tactic. They bite down with serrated teeth and pull back with powerful neck muscles. The result: huge gaping wounds. The venom then quickens the loss of blood and sends the prey into shock.

I was curious as to what that robot is actually supposed to do, being a 'security' bot. It's actually equal parts cool and :tinfoil:

quote:

The K5 robot is 5 feet tall, and 300 pounds. The K5 detects crime using a variety of sensors including video camera, thermal imaging sensors, a laser range finder, radar, air quality sensors and a microphone.
If the K5 detects abnormal noise and temperature change, or known criminals, it will alert local authorities. Once in work, it will move at about 3 mph in a geo-fenced area and gather real-time on-site data using its sensors.

The captured data includes licence plates, facial recognition and people's movements. The K5 analyzes the data through the analytics engine and use data sets from business and government as reference

I'm Belgian and I'd never heard of 'Antwerpse handen', they must be very local. I imagine they are a reference to the legend of how the city of Antwerp supposedly got its name (guy cuts hand of a giant and throws it away), but still that is probably not the best thing to sell given our colonial history.

Also gently caress zwarte piet and all his apologists.

Antwerpse Handjes are one of those things the city's tourist dept tries to push, but I dont know any other people in Antwerp who are into it. It's just chocolate in a hand shape ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

The origin of it was indeed explained to me as being the Antigoon legend (lmbo), but given our colonial history it's kinda dubious.
