Is there any benefits to being friendly with one of the pirate factions? What kind of goodies can you buy from them?

How the heck do you handle those Korian Feeding Frenzy missions? As soon as you arrive there are no less than 500,000 ships shooting billions of projectiles at you and it just tears through everything in half a second.

I hope they work on optimizing the escort mission's warp pair's pathing, it takes forever to get into pixel perfect formation then warp. They're well-paying contracts but that's one major snafu with taking them. You can go do your taxes then go out to eat after in the time it takes for your ship to get into position. Edit: And if by some miracle you make it that far, a ship warps in and all you get is proximity alerts when you try to warp. Or an asteroid is there, or a moon, or something. Does anyone actually use missiles? My entire loadout has been beam and pulse weapons. My fights around where I am last a bit and there are a ton of monsters and swarms in the engagements so I feel like I'd run out of ammo half-way through, ordinance crates and all. Edit: The Polaris is the most space trucker "future junk" design. I like it a lot. That whole distinct style of ships in the game have been my favorite.

Man, don't make the mistake I did and buy the Arcturus. Might as well be a flying garbage can. Slow as poo poo, moves like poo poo, has armor of poo poo despite being Heavy.

How is the turret placement on the Polaris? They're kind of lacking on the Sorcerer. It's a fun ship and not at all bad but I feel the coverage in some spots are very limited.

They really need to let you cycle through the stupid X prompts. Kill a guy near a station who drops cargo? Good luck docking if you don't have any cargo space left to pick it up!

Aside from a couple of the ships, are there any benefits of becoming friendly with the Red Devils?

I'd love for them to take a better look at turret placement for some of the ships. The Sorcerer suffers terribly from this. It's not even a case of finding what kind of turret fits where (though some ship configurations that seem busted can be solved by smart placement), the slots just flat out blow. On the other hand you have the Polaris which is a great ship and I'd even put it above the Minotaur. It has slow speed but it turns pretty well for the size. Plus it has the space junker look that all space truckers should find appealing. I'm hoping the game does well that they can put their own team together and not have to contract out work. That's most likely the reason why they said they're not likely to make DLC.

I think they need to tweak some missions too. A few defense missions are literally impossible. The attackers don't ever put a scratch on me but the poo poo you have to destroy to protect a craft or a station is just stupid. What the gently caress are you supposed to do against two Greel Galaxies or whatever and several support frigates all focus-firing a heavy frigate? Nothing because by the time you cleaned up the second dreadnought the ally ship is long destroyed. Oh and bouncing off of mines is really stupid. A dreadnought shouldn't be bouncing off of anything.
