I live on the 7th floor of an apartment. I have just come back upstairs from a false alarm with the building fire alarm, having deposited my two terrified cats in my big bulky plastic carrier and hauled them down 7 flights of stairs.

I'm exhausted.

Does anyone have any suggestions for lightweight pet carriers? Maybe some sort of backpack? It was a real struggle to get them down the stairs. "Get swole" is on the todo list as well, but in the mean time...

While we're at it, any tips for getting terrified cats out of their hidey holes and into a carrier would be appreciated too.
