Why don't you rent?

Are you going to look at any houseboats - or just boats that have some sort of interior living space. Couldn't you just find a little month to month room rental in the winter, and live on the boat during the not arctic time of year?

BaseballPCHiker posted:Not much to update unfortunately. I talked to another lender and they were willing to offer me a personal loan for enough money to get a fiberglass boat but it was at %11 APR so I said hell no. Right now my only option in my mind at least is using my bonus that I get in April and put that towards a boat. That way I'll either be able to afford a larger down payment or just buy a really lovely houseboat outright. Why aren't you just trying to rent a houseboat? I forget.

Pics of the boat/interior? I want to see what sort of squalor you're considering living in.

Why haven't you tried renting? I know you're not big on good ideas, just forget why you haven't tried.

I still don't understand why you can't rent a houseboat.
