I am working with a school to develop a Minecraft based coding class, and we are looking for a cheap and cheerful solution that can run Minecraft decently under Windows. We currently use a setup where we have full sized monitors with Raspberry PIs mounted to the back via VESA. We would like to find something equally small (or smaller) that is still powerful enough to run Minecraft decently. We do not need amazing performance, and if some dipshit lags out because he or she detonated 1000 TNT then so be it.... we are looking for best bang for least buck. Stuff like http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/compute-stick/intel-compute-stick.html would be ideal size wise, and judging by this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byRaoDtp4KA seems to do ok, but I would prefer something slightly more powerful. We will do limited modding, and mainly using things like learn2mod or Blockly in a browser with Minecraft at the same time. Something like this http://www.pipo.com/product.php?id=186 also is very interesting because of the dual boot to android option, something else we are interested in using. Ideas welcome!
