hello my posting pals i am happy to participate in another YOSMAS  here are some suggestions for my secret santa: - i have two cats. please feel free to send cat toys, cat treats, or the most irresistible scratching post devised by man - i have lost a lot of weight this year. please feel free to send a clever t-shirt in size XL. - i would greatly enjoy foodstuffs, beverages, or other locally-produced items from where you live, especially if you are not an american. -- that said i am a terrible goonlord who does not enjoy beer or coffee. liquor's fine. - i've been really digging the aubrey/maturin series of books. please feel free to send me one of the companion books to the series (like the cookbook, or the maps, or w/e), or alternately get me started off on horatio hornblower as i have not yet read any c.s. forester - i am a huge, huge space nerd. other media concerning space, fiction or non-fiction, will be welcome.

in this round of get to know a yosposter, it's me things i do - i love to cook things and then eat those things - i also like to drink alcoholic things from other places, like ouzo and jenever, so if you're from another place and you like a thing they drink there, i would probably be happy to share some - i'll take your weird scifi books if you want to send them, but i may not read them for some time - all canadians like hockey stuff - all nerds like tinkering with electronic things that are supposed to be assembled, programmed or adjusted in some way things i don't do - own pets - maintain a place to put spare mattresses - pay brokerage fees (i live very close to 13669 so that's a realistic option but the unboxing photos will suck because no loving way am i taking an unopened box of mystery goony goodness through a border crossing) - if you have had the misfortune of reading my post history and you think i am a muslim or an evangelical christian or something, sorry i'm not one of those variable_h was my last santee and he seemed generally happy i think; funhilde santaed me last and did pretty well

i am joining in. i haven't done this since 2010 or something. tarm was my santa and ahmeni was my santee LIKES - infosec, cybersecurity, cryptography, programming, etc stuff (it's my job and i post a lot about it i guess) - stuff on older operating systems (i am writing something for mac system 7 atm using c++) - i also code a lot in python - classic video game consoles. i really like super nintendo-related stuff - i also own a wii u - i brew my own beer DISLIKES (as in "do not send") - anything that was once (or still is) living - alcohol (i have a lot at home already) - drugs - pornography - no. i do not like mlp - anything large (my partner and i live in a small space and she'd probably not like large things sent to us) i have no catte  also if you end up being my santee, you'll probably get some infosec-related stuff from me Lain Iwakura fucked around with this message at 23:26 on Nov 4, 2015 |

ive been out a few years but ill jump back in hi im long time poster ahmeni Things I like: - sour keys (a canadian maybe north american candy?? oh god i miss these) - woodworking stuff - space things - stuff for my son (little over 2, loves the gently caress out of rocketships and space) or my next son (pending delivery march  ) - backwards australian seasons apply so he will live the first few months in brutal hellscape summer and then winter- just about anything off my steam wishlist, especially if its space related - coffees things I dont like: - booze - I am not cool enough to appreciate good booze and my sheila will be pregnant/breastfeeding for the foreseeable future - drugs - lol im a dad now

dear santa, I'm sorry you picked me luckily though I'll enjoy pretty much anything you give me, but here's some vague idea of whatever I'm into - I like programming and mathematics, I'm bad at both but that's OK because if you have a favorite book on one of these subjects you can send it to me and I promise to read it and then I'll be one step further into being part of the yospos elite - I like to read comics. whatever kind, some dorks insist on dividing them into bd, manga, graphic novel... but I don't discriminate art - I'm in the process of moving so I sure could use a cool poster or whatever the hell you give to people who are moving caveats: - I play videogames sometimes but I'm currently busy playing Wasteland 2 given to me by Beast of Bourbon last year. this game is kicking my rear end so hard so it needs my full videogaming attention dedicated to it - lol if you send drugs to brazil. seriously don't do that information that was asked of me last year: - M shirt size - hobby: lovely watercolor drawings - pretty much cool with all kinds of music
