Love it. Thorsby's creativity and humor is, as always, great.

Audrey's cool. Can't wait to see what Thorsby does with the now ex-magician.

Ah, solving a problem by making it more complex. The standard attitude of any Thorsbian protagonist.

Forcing Faustian bargains on one's self is certainly one method of resolution.

Honestly, as great as Hitmen for Destiny was, I think Lies, Sisters, and Wives was his best work.

It's a revolving door of vice presidents and corpses. At the end of the comic, all the angry spirits of the vice presidents will fuse into a mega-spirit for a final battle.

I'm starting to think Oyvind Thorsby is a collective of writers trying to one-up each other with the dialogue, because every time I think we've hit the peak something like this happens

If that were true, it would be very Thorsbyesk.

He "finds it hard to believe" that they decided just two hours ago what to do. If they had information coming from that conversation (bug/informant), that comment makes no sense.

My money is on some sort of future-predicting device.

But if it was merely a future predicting device, then they’d not be surprised that it was decided more recently.

It needs to be a person, though perhaps one with a future predicting device. This person is feeding the traditionalists information days in advance about what the group plans to do.

I hope the magic never gets confirmed one way or another despite the group's increasingly complex methods of attempting proof, and she's defeated in a totally mundane way*

Hitmen for Destiny had a fairly happy ending. Sure, the path there was traumatic, but the girl got the girl, neither girl was possessed or corrupted, and most of the main characters survived.

And best of all, no ghosts!

Literally everyone in the country runs for president and then Lyndon's big character-defining moment is when he chooses whether to give his vote to Audrey or Trixie, because he knows whichever one he votes for will win with 2 votes.

I'm sure he'll gently caress it somehow and vote someone entirely related to not make a hard choice
