Wanted to pop in to recommend MX Player. I was using VLC to watch video files, but the android app is really annoying sometimes (If you switch tasks for too long, it loses your place and restarts the video. It also pauses and forces you to hit play when you drag down the notifications, which is a pain in the rear end.) MX player works well and fixes those 2 issues so I'm getting good use out of it.

What happened to Facebook Messenger? All of a sudden it causes a popup whenever I get a new message, which is annoying the crap out of me when I'm trying to read or watch stuff on my phone. Seems like it just started today.  I still want to see the messages in the notifications bar so I can't mute my conversations, I just want this popup to stop happening. I tried turning off "Notification Previews" but I still get popups with that off, they just don't show the text from the chat. I don't have Chat Heads on either.
