Four fingers in a twenty-ton flywheel-style punch press. The die clearance was set to about a sixteenth. What was left of his hand in the press was flat as a piece of cardboard and well mixed with the cloth of his safety glove. He didn't scream or anything- he just turned white and sat down hard on the floor. We scrapped-out the press because people in the shop swore it still smelled of blood weeks later.
