No planes or conspiracies. 60 card decks, 4 copies of a card, 15 card sideboard. It's regular constructed magic, just with a cardpool people haven't used before so you can't netdeck.

Outside of those card types, there is no other banlist, we aren't importing the legacy/modern/etc banlists. This means you get to play with 3 legacy banned cards, Sol Ring, Skull Clamp, and Windfall, and you can run 4 of these in your decks. If these break the format we will ban them for future tournaments but I want to see brews.

There's probably some broke-rear end poo poo you can do with Skull Clamp, veteran explorers, two llanowar elves, and two doomed travelers in the pool. I'd rather find out than preemptively cut it out.

Are we playing on MODO or something like Cockatrice? If it's MODO I'm game.

Some guy just won with a non-blue deck. I know they call it Abzan, but it has a nice mix of white hate bears and the Jund advantage engine.

This is basically just aggro loam. Very far from new. My miscuts deck is aggro loam and I've been playing it for over a year.

Anyway, I posited a question in the Eternal thread that might be better off here in the main thread: we all know the Power 9, but what do you think would be included in the B-list Power 9? What are the next nine most powerful cards in the game (assuming that Timetwister is as good as the rest of the Power 9)? We were thinking stuff like Sol Ring, Time Vault, Demonic Tutor, Yawgmoth's Will, maybe Tinker, etc.

and be pretty happy with the entire list. Power 9 aren't necessarily cards that are just "good", it's cards that, when resolved, up your win chance by like 50%. I don't think that demonic tutor does that on its own, and neither does tinker - if that was the case, crop rotation would also be on there.

It was a print run intended for England that was supposed to fix some issues like the Serendib Efreet thing, but it hosed other things up. Like the Serendib Efreet thing, and as you see the blue Hurricane. It's probably the rarest out of all of these things because some boxes actually did get circulated, but not very many.

Iff Biff Efreet, Time Elemental, and Drudge Skeleton were all misprinted art. Wald is the same deal, these cards were all just literally printed with the wrong art.

Cyclopean Tomb was initially printed without a mana cost. Alpha Orcish Artillery was printed as a 1R card.

Not sure on the others.

Green Serendib is actually from Revised and quite common.

Also, Beta Volcanic exists. It's Alpha that doesn't.

How would you feel if you had a $10k black lotus, and tomorrow they announced they were going to reprint it, your card might not even be worth a tenth of that. This protects collectors, and keeps Magic a Trading Card Game.

The amusing thing is that the people who own those cards are pro-reprints, and the people who are anti-reprints generally don't own them.
