In my house we try to reuse hard plastic containers, assuming they have a lid that can be closed again. Soft plastic gets thrown out. My city doesn't separate plastic garbage, and it feels wrong to throw away something that we can use for leftovers.

What do you do with them, throw 'em away after one use? I reuse them, assuming they're still fine. Eventually they leave the kitchen and end up in my tool box with assorted screws and cables.
