The U.S. should thank its lucky stars that minorities are still very much vested in changing the system through non-violent, "official" channels and methods, otherwise it would have been all too easy to end up with a Provisional IRA-type form of homegrown terrorism. Then again, the powers that be did manage to neutralize the Black Panther Party and a host of other black activist groups most poised to be just that, IMHO.
