Alright folks, I'm getting back on the wagon. After a 1 year hiatus, it's looking like good times. Might even get brave enough to join the WOL this time.

Are the Gaussapult or Boomcat OK builds anymore? I know the Boomcat was never an "OK" build, but I just have a CPLT-K2 and HBK-4G in my inventory, and boy oh boy do I love AC20s.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I played an hour or so of Mechwarrior 4: Mercs online last night.

Single-weapon boat pop-tartery abounds.

I SRM boated someone successfully exactly one time. All other times I was one or two-shot core'd from a weapon I've yet to identify (thanks MekTek 3.1).

I have a HBK-4G, a CN9-A (NCIX) and a CPLT-K2.

My scouting deck is my HBK because it's the only one that goes faster than 81kph.

Does the order matter in the Invasion drop decks? Should I just cut my losses in the scouting decks and throw in a trial light?

Just wanted to reiterate my gratitude to y'all. Following everyone's advice I'm almost done with my 4xMPLAS/2xLB10 K2. In an hour and a half I already recouped my XL300 costs.

Are RAC5s any good? I built out a Dakkapult (4xERMLAS, 2xRAC5, LFE300) but aside from the aesthetic feedback, I don't have a good feeling that I'm being effective.
