I remember reading that the girls in Babymetal said they'd never really listened to metal before their management decided they were going to be metal idols. If that affects your opinion of them then you're missing the point in a big way, though. They never try to hide the fact that they're an idol group. Since we're talking about Babymetal, can I lowkey steer the discussion towards other "heavy idol" groups? Some of the promising up-and-comers actually have harsh vocals.
