Is there something similar if the Japanese player invades Australia or India? I remember steinrokkan had invaded about 1/2 of Australia in his last LP attempt, but I don't recall if there was any kind of scripted thing to make it harder for him.

I believe it was said in that thread that it doesn't trigger until you reach the SE Australia, so what steinrokkan did was just about the extent of it before triggering anything extra.
