If accelerationism was ever a valid political philosophy, it was most likely before planet earth was facing an anthropogenic extinction event. As it stands, I'm afraid that even if we accept the basic idea of accelerationism as correct (which, to be honest, I have trouble swallowing), we would quite literally destroy the planet's ability to sustain human life before we ever reached the wrap-around point where everyone realizes what fools they've been.
