Arkane posted:for any that have 7pm tickets in the US, when do you think a good time to show up would be? Don't want to be waiting hours, but I don't want lovely seats. I'd suggest maybe 90 minutes before, unless you want to sit in the first 5 rows.

Also, call the theater at, say, 3:00 PM, and ask them if there's a line. If there is, ask them how long it is. If the person responds "more than 150-200", then you're hosed regardless, and can show up about 10 minutes before the movie starts, because you won't be getting a good seat.

Hey CelticPredator, I called the theater today and asked them if they were going to be giving away posters at the premiere tomorrow night, and i'm pretty shocked that they said no. Instead, they're selling some theater-themed Star Wars t-shirt for 20 bucks. This is the first IMAX blockbuster that hasn't had it's own IMAX-specific poster handout in ages. When I bought the tickets back in October, I apparently incorrectly assumed they'd be giving away a poster, because they ALWAYS do. Even The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Iron Man 3 had it's own IMAX poster. Go figure.

Just got to the theater about 20 minutes ago; the concessions area is already getting busy and almost every screen it's showing on is sold out. I saw these two people waiting in line for a later showing; the girl said she made both of their costumes by hand:

I loved the part where the TIE Fighter got shot down by the Star Destroyer wreckage, and no less than a half second later, scavengers swarm the area, assumedly to snatch up as much as they can.
