I really came to like the show and am sad I won't get to see these guys on more Fillorian adventures.

It has been a long time since I read the books but IIRC he was originally described as a heavyset, bald(ing?) white guy - when I was reading the books I mentally cast him as one of my professors from my first year of uni who matched the description (and who used to teach at an Ivy).
