Is the idea with the Others that if they overrun Westeros they'll bring on an eternal global winter? Because otherwise it's kinda funny that the apocalypse is about to happen and places like Qarth have no reason to care.

The long night was a global phenomenon the first time. You know what's weird is that we still have no idea exactly how many WWs there are. We've only ever seen a very small number of them and several have been killed over the course of the show.

I can't really see any surprised impending... I think that GoT is going to be very predictable for the sake of ending as a good show. Any big shake-ups would be detrimental (which is good considering we don't like some of their previous shake-ups). Please for the love of God though I hope we see less of Sam's moon face. He speaks unbearably slow.
