That said, the way the narrative juggles and resolves a shitload of very tightly connected character arcs and about half a dozen thematic arcs without somehow disastrously exploding due to its own momentum means it is in fact the best arc despite what all the unfortunate misclicking in the poll would have you believe. It's kind of crazy how good chimera ant is that all the stuff you just mentioned merely gets that episode in the top 5 maybe. Like, it could have been an amazing finale for a different shonen series, but it's stuck in HxH so it doesn't even come close to best episode status.
