Our service wasn't bad, but it really was best-suited for places that couldn't get anything else. While I worked there I kept my DSL at home because it was faster and more reliable than our own service.

Yeah I literally have no other choice. DSL would be great, people a couple miles away from me are getting 12 Mb for half of what I'm paying.

Had a 300 baud modem hooked up to our Commodore 64 to dial up local BBS servers. Had one of these bad boys, too: And a third-party fan which sat on top of it to keep it from literally melting down.
