This thread reminded me of my old favourite back door (heh!) porn site TheHun.net. It was literally just a yellow page with links to short porn clips and collections of photo's but the site promised smut without any annoying pop-ups so it was cool by me.

LOVE LOVE SKELETON posted:the sonic and knuckles thing is still crazy to me, esp since you could also play as knuckles in sonic 2 Not only that but if you plugged in Sonic 1 and punched in a code on the ABC button's you got some levels similar to the special zone levels from Sonic 3. There were rumours floating about that if you completed all 3 games with the same Sonic and Knuckle's Kart something spectacular happened, I don't remember what exactly and never got around to doing it myself.

Oh god I had a worse problem, I had the glorious Samsung 709 DVD Player it wouldn't read any copied DVD's so I'd rip DVD's convert them to VCD (This process took the best part of 2 days for a 90 minute movie) and even then it would only read VCD's burnt on one specific brand of CD that wasn't officially sold in the UK and had to be acquired on Ebay at about twice the cost of other CD-R's. My heart sank whenever a burn failed.

There is a small community of VHS collectors but it seems to be mostly horror movies as theirs a shitload that will likely never see a digital release, some really obscure titles have a pretty impressive value.

drunk asian neighbor posted:Honestly, I don't have too many but I see classic movies on LD all the drat time at garage sales, it seems like those and CDs are the only really retro technology that people my age don't wait in line for a garage sale to open so they can grab everything. Good luck finding old video games or computer equipment unless you want to be standing outside someone's house at 8:55AM waiting for their 9AM garage sale to open. It's gotta be pretty bad because this summer I saw tons of garage sale signs that had "NO EARLY BIRDS" in big letters at the bottom. This is true but there is a pretty drat good 1080p version of A New Hope that has been created from a 35mm print out there which I thoroughly recommend checking out. One thing I miss about VHS were the trailers at the start of the tape, I'd never skip over them as quite often the trailers would be of a similar genre to the movie you were watching and would lead to me seeking out those movies. I know Some DVD's had trailers but it wasn't the same and blu-rat just updates to trailers of recent releases.

Someone should make a retro car stereo that has a tape deck slot that you slot your smart phone into hell it could even come with an adaptor case for your phone that looks like a cassette. I bet there's plenty of people that would buy it
