They took their best two OS: XP and 7, and instead of retaining and enhancing their mature and beloved ui elements and aesthetic and learning what users like best about those versions and threw it all out the window for 8 and 10 plus decided for some reason one OS could service tablets and desktops. Even apple knew better than to go down that poo poo filled rabbit hole also they took all the settings and control panel options that have existed since XP and hid them behind yet another layer of menus for some inexplicable reason
