Yeah, there was a definite hierarchy to it. Like PC users with broadband were gods, then came the DC BB players, then 56k mouse and keyboard, 56k controllers next, and finally you had the Brazilians with 575 ping.

I didn't get my first PC until 2003, so from 99-03 I used that loving browser it actually wasn't too bad, and one of my quake clan members (lol, clans) even made a workaround for me so I could use the IRC

I'm on PC #3 in the last 13 years and I've never had a drive fail e- actually PC #4 but the one I just replaced is fine, just hopelessly outdated
