Here's some boring Alaska scenery from a hike beyond the Eagle River Nature Center.


This river comes from a glacier.





There used to be a huge beaver pond here. The beavers have been slacking off lately.

Not pictured: the black bear that walked across the trail 25 feet in front of me and then proceeded to swim across a lake. I also saw one with binoculars from my lunch spot and another on the side of the road after the hike. That's a lot of bear sightings in a day even for Alaska.
