I think I meant that word too lol... I remember the kraken boss later in the game was the first time I ever tried a strat in an RPG that wasn't just attack as hard as possible

I still do that lol. But I was playing chrono trigger recently and it seemed perfectly fine to go to a shop and buy things that were simply upgrades to whatever I had.
