We're putting up an edited edition. Sadly, most if not all of the rad intro song is getting cut, but that was the only claim. Oddly enough, it was set to only be viewable in Korea, but Janne da Arc are from Osaka Japan. And the song has been uploaded to death on YouTube. The internet is a strange and mysterious place.

I still don't like him.  Though weirdly enough, it's actually because there's not more to him. Maybe if he was more involved in the story except for 'waste time, then good bye' I'd like him more. Heck, a level leading up to one of the fights with him would have "fixed" him for me I think.

As a matter of fact, originally he was higher on the list, but I shifted some stuff around after reevaluating some things. As for not liking him, I can understand that. As far as he's presented in the games, there isn't a TON of substance. What I appreciate about him is the bullet points that you're able to sorta build a mental picture with. As much as I love the X games, I think they could stand for a lot of retooling. And I agree that actually providing more depth for side / rival characters is one thing that could be very much improved. What makes Dynamo stand out from that is that he does have the start of that depth in mind, and quite honestly, not a lot of characters get that. Remember Mac? EVERYBODY remembers Mac! Remember how deeply betrayed you felt when it turned out he was working for Dr Doppler? Of course you don't. Because Mac was just suddenly thrown at you as a name never once mentioned before, as a betrayer? Why would I care. Why would anybody ever care. I guess TL;DR, I like his design, and I'll take depth where I can get it. Lol.

I blitzed through all the hunter videos & most of the zero runs this week and it was really enjoyable. Loved how into the series lore and stuff you all were and all the editing was a nice touch. Also maybe I missed it but was there anything about Axl's alternate costume in the artbook or anything. I'm guessing it's basically just "lumine's colors for symbolism" or w/e

I think that was primarily for him to be included, and they just worked with what made sense given the lore and situation.

Storm Eagle was always my favorite maverick in MMX. I used to just run through stages spamming Storm Tornado at anything unfortunate enough to get in my way. This may have been because I was young, foolish, and had no idea that Fire Wave was as good as it is. Storm Eagle's still the coolest, though.

Fire Wave is amazing, but Storm Tornado is also really good. ST absolute fuuuuuuuuucks any of the large Mechaniloids, such as the mortar turtles, the sea serpents, and the bubble drone in Spark Mandrill's stage. Sadly, they changed how it works in MHX, as it no longer stays on screen for an obscene amount of time or covers nearly as much horizontal space on the screen. Instead it's just a short tornado shot instead of a screen wide column of gently caress Everything.

The main draw for Eagle's hazard was the sense of scale. The open air is less claustrophobic, but still very dangerous. Just a really cool new scope of the series. That whole "perfect representative" note. He basically covers everything.

I seem to remember that you can actually enter the ship in Eagle's stage in two different ways. I can't remember what NOT going in from below does, though. It's been so long. I should replay X1-3 at some point.

Judging by how garbage the government has been, I would guess that Gate was immediately deleted for being too powerful. The state doesn't care for competition or future rivals. Gate brought up that great Socialist utopia, but I'll hold off on it.

It always bothered me how they never did anything more with Gate. The guy would be absolutely perfect as the lead designer for the Next Gen Reploid project. I mean, he's explicitly interested in unanalyzable DNA, he's designed reploids with specs far above the norm, and he's managed to succeed in replicating Zero of all machines. Gate's expertise and ability would make him ideal as the director on a project like that. I mean, he doesn't even need to end up a villain. 'Super Science Hubris' seems like one of the things that he's got in spades. I could see him being unpleasantly surprised by Lumine's sudden rebellion. Or maybe not? He's complex enough to make his response to that kind of situation hard to predict.

X5 sure has some good music, as every MM game does. How many tracks in the franchise are only available for the JP version? I heard all this music, but it seems like I am missing a ton of them that never reached here.
