Back when I was 15ish i went to an event in Ottawa in some park in the middle of the city. I was supposed to come home by bus but I was an impatient teenager and decided to walk from bus stop to bus stop 'til my bus arrives. Back then i didn't know the city, didn't know the bus schedules and was too proud to admit my ignorance or possibility of me getting lost. (This was back when cellphones were a thing for rich people and smartphones did not exist). What you're probably expecting by now happened. I ended up lost and had no idea where I was or where to go. In my brillance, I decided to just keep on walking figuring I'd have to end up home somehow. (To this day, I am still unsure of how I came to this conclusion). About 40 kilometers later (according to Googlemap) I arrived in the nearby city of Hull at their casino. The casino was familiar and I could finally figure out where I was, which was still very far from where i lived. That's when I gave up and did what any reasonable teenager would do: I called my mommy and begged for a ride.
