That lens is the one I almost always use for general strolling about taking (bad) photos if I don't have a specific reason to take something else.

Does the Vibration control make a very slight rattling sound when you use it? Or is this lens not in as good of condition as ebay led me to believe?

In my experience, Sigma's OS (their version of VC) makes a bit of a rattling noise while engaging or disengaging. It shouldn't make much noise while its engaged, though - I ended up exchanging the first copy of the 120-300mm that I got because it was constantly clicking loudly, and the replacement has been much better.

I frequently use my cellphone for pictures even while I'm out with my entire kit, I like my cellphone as a camera and it's just easier

It was just funny watching all these tourists with expensive as gently caress cameras around their necks using iphones. Saw a dude with what looked to be an L telephoto on his canon using digital zoom on an ipad.

I suppose I can understand it to a certain degree since it's force of habit for so many people these days. Digital zoom sucks on every phone but if I want just a quick wide angle snap of something, I'll usually grab for my phone before my camera, even if I have both on me.

Well it's also easier to just open the camera on your messaging app and show the suckers back home how sweet the view is from your vacation.

which one of you is this

Good condition Minolta 28mm wide angle lense with lense caps.

I took a photo in Amsterdam of a fresh squeezed doggie doodoo on a Belgium block alley way.\
It came out great with great detail and really fine depth of field.
Another shot of a blonde, big-haired "professional" woman with basketball sized breasts under a red top and standing in wedgie shoes and tight capri pants near a bridge at a canal came out very soft.

I went out in the snow the other day and wanted to get a good picture of dog footprints leading somewhere in the snow. Opened up the photos tonight. Turns out I was so focused on getting the angle right with respect to the paw prints that I didn't notice that Terra didn't quite get out of the way.
