To then turn that around and attack Cabinet for being too hard on what was the final straw means the biggest question in all of this is how someone as politically stupid as Briggs got a ministerial position in the first place.

 Yeah that's the comment that sparked mine. A direct challenge to the PM to itemise each and every way that he was acting beneath ministerial standards, that's sure to be a winner.
