Is it possible to have a thread that doesn't spend 3 pages on this argument?

Ian Winthorpe III posted:I'm a reactionary democratic socialist; the universal healthcare, quality free or subsidized education and welfare provide opportunity and the safety net for those who try, fail and have to get up again. Yet I guess after achieving these things the Left got bored and hitched it's wagon to a Multicultural Project (whose logic and principles I still can't quite discern) and a programme of sexual liberation/social atomization, both of which seem likely to contribute to the undermining of the social cohesion needed for our institutions - for example the aforementioned issue of FGM and how to approach it, when ultimately it was a problem that didn't need importing to Australia . I accept that ultimately this is a function of Neoliberal late capitalism but reject the Marxist project because of the jealous, critical dispositions and dishonest ethics of those who are drawn to it...... So are you trying to say you want the 50's but with Medicare and no brown people?

Not anywhere near that fast, from memory they top out at around 400km/hr So yeah the train record is 600km/hr, you aren't going to get Australians to stump up the cash to top that. Might get promised that, then delivered a wooden steam train instead http://m.euronews.com/en/304542/ norp fucked around with this message at 01:46 on Jan 9, 2016 |

iiNet group used to be good, and were standing their ground against the media companies on forwarding letters and providing customer details. They are now part of TPG soooo not sure if that will keep going forwards. They are one of the major hardware owners in exchanges (along with Optus and Telstra) so they have more leverage to provide better data limits. The 1000gb thing is mainly because they had to drop the free Netflix traffic thing due to a conflict with TPG being a stakeholder in one of the other streaming providers.

I refuse to believe that trump will win the general election assuming the republicans are dumb enough to give him the nomination.
