Well amazon doesn't sell raw meat and vegetables, I don't think. And getting some Domino's delivered doesn't come with the free back pat of getting to say you cooked a meal.

I guess as a first step into providing for oneself, anything that gets people fresh out of college off of takeout and totinos is good. To me it just seems like a ridiculous extravagance. To paraphrase a McElroy the problems solved by Blue Apron and the rest are so white you could cut holes in them and wear them as a Halloween costume.

Yeah nobody wants to learn things to learn things, it's just to get a "free back pat" for the meal you cooked for yourself from... someone, somewhere

Not gonna touch that second part with a ten foot pole

Well this is really losing the point of what I said in the first place, being able to get groceries delivered isn't the same thing as a subscription service that plans your meals for you and sends you everything you need to do it short of turning the oven on for you
Yeah, one requires you to know exactly what you can do already and the other helps you learn a thing along the way. How lazy! And that dreadful mealplanning, who could've known that when weightwatchers started in 1963 they had to wait so long for those lazy young people to show up

Like, every single subscription service I've seen targets one of two things: either a recurring service that you're paying for the benefit of not running out of an easily-overlookable thing when you need it (see: dollar shave club) or you're paying for someone else to give you a selection of things that you'd be extremely unlikely to encounter/find/acquire on your own (like naturebox). Framing it as millenials wanting mommy to do their chores for them is baffling and reeks of you coming to a thing with your own opinion and ignoring anything that doesn't fit it!

gently caress this boo hoo bullshit about not recognizing botches. It's like these motherfuckers have never been to a house show.

Griffin I get, because he's not way into wrestling, but otherwise come on.

for the record it's a thing they joke about in the actual episode and Carey has been doing art about the show for forever

flatluigi

Adventure Zone's existence as an entertainment podcast takes priority most of the time, and part of why people like it is the characters. I'd hate it personally if Carey and Killian just got smushed against the wall and died in the middle of a combat scene because of an awful roll, even if it makes sense in context of it being a game. Griffin's certainly shown that characters can die though, especially if it fits the narrative really well, so I can forgive it a lot personally

The problem of doing any serial is figuring out how to cut things short but with this being an unedited podcast with an emphasis on just exploring all the loving around everyone's doing there really isn't too much I can say they can actually fix.

either way it's a good idea to rein it back some imo before every podcast the mcelroys do have A Vore Episode or three

I might be a little slow here, but is the idea that they're going to keep replaying the same day over and over until they get it right?

Yeah, they're in a time loop with the goal to find the old woman and are set free to just Figure poo poo Out. Also it might not even be the same "day" - I get the impression they only really have a few hours before things reset! I imagine they'll have a bit more time now that the loop's established to explore though, now that they're not unconscious for an indeterminate amount of time to start with.

Regarding that, I imagine that making it specifically open-world and investigatory mainly over anything else will solve that problem.

Does anyone want to relisten to the episode and specifically lay out the actual timeline of events? Checking out various posts makes it sound like the entire setup is over a single hour and the various events happen every 15 minutes or so, and it'd be nice to see where things line up.
